Because no one should hear those words alone.
A breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, isolating, and life-changing. Whether you are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, navigating survivorship, living with metastatic disease, or supporting a loved one — The CLUB exists to provide connection, encouragement, and hope.
Founded by local women who understand the journey firsthand, we believe there is power in shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and access to reliable information. At The CLUB, you'll find a welcoming community that understands the challenges, fears, and triumphs — because we've been there too.

Four women, four diagnoses, one shared belief — that the road through breast cancer should be walked side by side.

Donna Ross was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) in May 2025. In July 2025, she underwent a skin- and nipple-sparing double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and nerve preservation, supported by medical oncologist Dr. Cynthia Lynch at City of Hope and surgeons Drs. Anne and Ziv Peled.
As a physical therapist, athlete, advocate, and breast cancer survivor, Donna experienced firsthand how overwhelming a cancer diagnosis and treatment can be. That experience led her to seek support. When she found no specific breast cancer support in or around the north state, she was inspired to create The CLUB with Heather, Carrie, and Lisa—a community built on connection, mentorship, support, and the belief that no one should navigate breast cancer alone.

Carrie Harris was diagnosed with high-grade DCIS in January 2024, undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstruction later that year. She navigated this daunting chapter surrounded by an incredible support system of family, friends, and exceptional local doctors, including Dr. Strickland and Dr. Malotky.
Inspired by this profound care, Carrie co-founded The CLUB alongside Donna, Heather, and Lisa. Her mission is to ensure no one walks this path alone, paying forward that immense compassion to cultivate a community rooted in empathy, hope, and genuine connection

Heather Kelnhofer was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ) in November 2022. She underwent a double mastectomy in February 2023 and completed her breast reconstruction with the support of her local medical team, including Dr. Osgood and Dr. Malotky.
Now cancer-free, Heather understands both the physical and emotional challenges that come with a breast cancer diagnosis. As a co-founder of The Club, she is committed to creating a community where people can share experiences, support one another, and find strength in knowing they are not alone.

Lisa Hansen of Red Bluff, California, was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma with associated ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the left breast in 2011 at age 40. Her treatment included a double mastectomy with reconstruction and chemotherapy.
As a co-founder of The CLUB, Lisa is passionate about helping breast cancer patients and survivors find resources, encouragement, and connection. More than 15 years after her own journey, she remains committed to ensuring people in Tehama County have access to local support and services while building a network of survivors who offer mentorship, hope, and understanding.
